The Living Tree Company was founded on an ethos that tree work is so much more than just chopping down trees. We wanted to start a company that was based on knowledge and driven by passion. It is important for us that people enjoy their trees and feel safe in their environment, without compromising the health of the trees.
Our passion for the environment has lead us more and more into environmental contracts involving climbing, research, planting and survey projects. We are proud to be involved in working to maintain and improve New Zealand's unique natural environment.
Fredrik Hjelm is the founder of The Living Tree Company. Swedish-born, he has many years of tree care and climbing experience working with the top companies throughout Europe and New Zealand. Fredrik holds a NZQA Advanced Certificate in Arboriculture.
